I have heard a lot of small Kubota and Yanmar engines.  Nuts what they can pull out of them.

Kubota  or Yammar engines, Yammar has a direct injection so most are using it! cadet running gear with planetary rear axle added to cub rear end. Expensive units!!!!!!! We have a Kubota D-950 3 cylinder with small turbo, running 7000 rpm's we used in compact 4wd class years ago. Took it out and put in a Kubota G series gear drive GT  and pulled 1000-1100 lb class, but didn't do very well with it. Needed different gearing which cubs have everything available for them! Same old story! $$$$$$$$$$$ talks. Who ever spends most wins.
