Has anyone here ever resealed the hydro on one of these? mine has leaked profusely for years out the rear around where you can see a shaft with a ring on it. looks to me like its  got to come apart to get to the o-ring or whatever is in there.also wonder if parts are still available?   thanks

Yes you should be able to get the seals for the hydro pump. On a 712 it should be a Sunstrand series 15.  If the parts are obsolete through Simplicity an Eaton/Sunstrand dealer or a good hydraulic shop an likely get them. The release/bypass is the latch on top of the pump that engages the two poppets on the relief valves to release the pump. It does not fully release the pump and it is only designed to make it a liitle easier to push it across the garage floor. Do not tow the unit any distance or damage can occur.
