I was just wondering how many of you took your Allis tractors to your local 4th of July parades yesterday, and what model,,year,,you were driving,,,my son and I took a 38,B and a 53 WD wide front, both with cultivators and umbrellas,it was hot but the umbrellas sure came in handy, it was a good time,,,Wayne.

Our Antique club advertises our show by going in many parades, This year we took the 1938 Allis "A" with a newly restored 706 Allis running gear, and new deck, 2 flags on the back board bunting on the sides, a few bails fresh hay 2 lawn chairs for my wife and me, a minature Dachshund on her lap, 2 Allis peddle tractors straped to the deck with the half bales in their wagons our 5 & 6 yr old granddaughters driving. Life is GOOD!!!

Bee,,,I'm sorry, being 69 and not the smartest with computers I still do not know how to send pictures, maybe I could get my son to do that some day,,,,did you have a tractor in the parade in your town,,,Allen, sounds like you had a lot of fun and those grand kids are the best for all of us that are old enough to have them,,,,parades are a lot of fun, it is just all the getting ready for them!! Wayne....PS. Adam your tractor looks real nice also.

I wanted to take my 47 model C to our parade, however with the gravity fed carb it doesn't like to go uphill. My daughters pre-school teacher wanted me to pull their float, but we have a pretty steep hill to go up and I couldn't back up the hill with the float attached.
any Ideas how to overcome this problem?

Wolf,
Better check your fuel delivery to the carb. You shouldn't have any problems pulling a hill as long as you have enough fuel in the tank to cover the sediment bulb inlet....
