My cousin has a 1956 D15 diesel and the other day he stopped to close a gate he had just gone thru. When he tried to start up again, it wouldn't move. It appears to be stuck between gears. I told him to take the top cover off the transmission and manually move them. Does anyone have a better solution or an answer as to what caused the problem?

D15's didnt start production until 1960.

As far as your problem, you are on the right track. Pop the cover and and see whats going on

I knew it wasn't a 1956, but my fingers didn't. I think it is a 1963. Thanks for the reply.
