Found this on the Orange Spectacular website.
Richard is loading bundles in the trasher

We have some very sad news for this group. Longtime club member Richard Schmitz, age 75 of Atlantic, Iowa passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 8, 2018.

Many may know Richard as "the baler guy". He was usually found on one of his balers doing field demos at Orange Spectaculars and other Allis Chalmers events. The 444 baler shown on the club's 2018 toy flyer belongs to Richard.

When we have more information about services, we will be sure to pass it along. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to Richard's family and friends.

Lon, this is very sad news to our club and the Allis-Chalmers world. Richard was so polite, always excited to participate in the field demonstrations, and always wanted to be more involved with the Orange Spectacular.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Richard's family.

Richard and I talked balers a couple months ago. He was looking for a 302 to complete his collection of balers. Never dreamed it would be our last.
Today is a good day to see friends don't pass it up!

I found more vidieos of Richard at Hutch. He was all in on those weekends. Last year was no different.

Found a vidieo of him driving your tractor with the haybine.

What a great loss Richard is.  As usual I went through my pictures and all of the ones I found of Richard were of him doing the dusty dirty jobs doing the work that needed done.  A great man gone too soon.
