Does anyone have one of these?

How difficult is it to rivet new liners? any special techniques or suggestions?

Looks to me like it would work fine. I just mount a flat punch in the vise and set the head of the rivet on it. the problem comes in when you need to hold the brake band level, the setting punch vertical and hit the punch with a hammer. I seem to always run out of hands.

The reason it would not work well on jd's is because they use pads on one side, and a disk with 3 pads on the other side, and the tool will not reach far enough into the disk. It would work fine for the smaller pads, as well as pretty much an allis chalmers brakes.
I've done alot of john deere brakes. I mostly just use a small punch to mushroom the rivet out a little, and then a roll pin punch to set it, But i also agree with ctucker, you always seem to run out of hands. In college we had a prefessional press set up, and it worked slick, however you have to do alot of pads to pay for one. Most machine shops will rivet pads on for minimal dollars, and thats probly the way to go for most people.
