Can any of you AGCO dealers out there give me a price or link to a dealer for part #700152293 standard or #700717701 Heavy Duty skid shoe for a Hesston 1345 Hydro Swing disk swather. I wonder if those parts are used on other models?

Can you weld on some really hefty leaf springs from a truck? Last time I rebuilt the skid plates.

One is too badly worn out, didn't see the problem until it totally wore out in front. There are 8 on the machine but only the outside ones wear much. I probably will weld springs onto the still good ones. Stopped at the IHC/NH/Kubota dealer on my way to Greeley today. CaseIH uses the same numbers for stuff they bought from Hesston before buying NH. The price from them was $80+ and didn't have them in stock. Parts guy said they are cheaper at MF/Hesston in Greeley so stopped there also, got two of them for $92. Quite a bit cheaper. While at the Kubota dealer asked about the smaller window on the back of the cab of my M110, a small rock got flung at it by the Hesston baler last year. It's maybe 2' X 10" with a hole in each corner. I guessed it would be a hundred bucks or so, $260!! I've got a piece of plywood in there for now but can't see the drawbar without opening the big back window. Think I'll buy a piece of Lexon plastic and use it instead, plus it won't break it a rock hits it!
