Dad is getting his Hi-Crop WC ready for the caravan from South Dakota to the GOTO in Iowa. Yesterday I helped him swap out the 6.6:1 ratio Hi-Crop rear end for the faster 4.2:1 version from a parts WC, to get a better road gear so we don't have to push the old tractor quite so hard. We are going for the fuel economy award this year. We will NOT run out of gas or break down !! Who else is planning on driving in the caravan & what will you be driving? Looking forward to seeing old friends there. Kip

The last time I talked to Jim Roney, Gene Hajek, and Carmen were all coming, don't know about Gary, but of coarse this is all subject to change, we are all getting older.

Glad to hear that some of my favorite OLD friends will likely be there. BTW Dad took the WC out for a test run with the new high speed gears. That sucker will do 20mph with nothing more exotic than a WD45 governor spring. Good thing we freshened up the brakes as well. At 10-12 mph we might need to drain gas from the tank every 30 miles to keep it from running over!!! LOL Kip

We have 2 important appointments, 1 this Wednesday and 1 next Monday. So sorry to say we do not have enough drive time to make it in time for the caravan. Depending on the outcome of these appointments we may not make the GOTO show. We will should know after Wednesday if we can make the show.
