If you are talking about ring and pinion, there is no seal there.
If you are talking about final drive, remove final drive, remove brake drum, unbolt tube housing from final housing. Use metal screws and slide hammer to remove old seal.     MACK

I realize it is hard to fully understand a question without details. I will attempt to clarify the area or location of the leak.
I am in the process of replacing the brake drum on my WD. After removing the final drive axle assembly I noticed traces of oil coming out around the seal opening going into the  transmission and differential housing. The seal is retained in what is identified as carrier which also retains a shim and bearing cup. There are 6 bolts that hold the carrier to the transmission and differential housing, which are accessible once the final drive axle assembly is removed. It appears that the carrier must be removed from the housing in order to replace the oil seal. I know I have seen some earlier models of Allis Chalmers that showed that the seal could be pulled with removing the carrier but the WD carrier design won't allow this. The primary question I have is can the carrier be removed without having to disassemble the differential or is there concerns of parts getting displaced by removing the carrier casting.

Yes you can remove the carrier and replace the seal. The diff will stay in place.

If you do one bearing carrier housing at a time and keep the shims to that side the ring gear carrier will not fall down to much that it will go back in place, put a little sealer on all the bolts.

Thanks to all those who responded to my question. I am a fairly new member of the forum and I know there is great support out there with folks who love the orange paint.
Thanks Again!
