I was hoping you experts could help me out.  I have a AC D-14 that I have had for years and this winter the Hydraulics quit working for me on the 3-point.  The issue is that it will work fine for a few cycles but then it will drain all of the hydraulic fluid from the tank and then it stops working.  If you add more fluid it will pump fluid out of the top of the trans case.  Is there a check valve or filter that could be plugged??  I am desperate need of help.  Thank You!

My theory is that either the seals in the ram, or else the hose for the ram are bad.  The good news is that you are only looking at spending $50 or so to fix it.  The bad thing is, you have to take the rear half of the rearend housing off to fix it.  I just did it on my D15, and it wasnt too bad.

Adam you are right on.  The D-14 was too new for that problem to develope with us since we were out of the business in 1962 but we were told about it at the factory schools.
Hope it is only the hose.  That is the easiest fix.  Let us know how it goes.
Good Luck!

If you have to dig in that far you might as well figure on replacing both the seals and the hose. Then you'll be good to go for another 50 years.
