Alrigt this is my first time trying this, so here we go. I have a HD6 that my dad rebuilt the motor in and I have just had the INJ pump gone through. It cranks right up however when you increase the throttle it chocks down and dies. I have tryed resting the valves but not sure I am getting them set right or not. i have also cleaned the fuel tank and lines as well as changed the fuel filters. any help or advice would be appreciated.

Check air side on intake , clogged air filter, dirt in bowl on air cleaner  bad air filter.

I suppose it has the AC engine and not a detroit in it?  If you had the pump gone through I would also look to the suction side for any restrictions then I would pull the return fitting from atop the pump and inspect for debris in it that could be holding the check ball.  I had this occur on my 180 with the Roosa Master type injection pump on it.  If the pump builds internal pressure it will accelerate for a moment then idle down and struggle or die if this fitting is impaired, also check the tank for fuel being returned, that port could be stopped up doing the same thing since it was worked on as well.

Have you replaced your fuel filters? How high is your fuel pressure?
