Looking at a KP1400 steiger, anyone have any experience with one? Is there any real difference between that and the newer 9180 caseIH ? I know it has more power and slightly different appearance but anything else? Fuji transmission? Weak points?

Neighbor has a 9170. I ran it in high school alot. He has a seriesIV panther too. 9170 has to the most abused tractor ive ever seen. Never serviced. Has pulled the drawbar in two several times. It has north of 20,000 hrs. Engine been over hualed and all four finals overhualed. Trans never touched.
A weak spot that he's found is the pivot, but he crosses ditches and washouts most wouldnt cross with a rock crawler.
Local case ih dealer has never seen a broke pivot until his and he's busted it twice.

Bottom line a new JD or caseih wont last a season with him. I wouldnt hesitate to put one up against any other 4wd tractor around 400hp

This one has a little over 10000 hrs on it. I've ran 9180 and 9280 models, both powershift transmissions which is what this has. Only thing I never liked about them was when you step on the clutch it drops all the way down to first gear and either 4th or 5th gear was jerky when you shifted to it. I agree ILGLEANER they are great looking tractors. Never seen a green one in person before. Used to be lots of red ones around here but not so much anymore. Everyone went to the newer STX series.
