| just brought home a hd11b its a early type hd11b not the fiat allis style it has segmented sprockets and i cant seem to find anyone who has them they are marked berco ac1916a the local berco dealer said nla so heres my question has anyone made any available segments fit the original sprocket i am not afraid of machining as i have a well equipped shop hopefully someone has been down this road before |

| Never seen an early HD11 with segments, but guessing they would have been the 7G-B segments? 7G and G-B used same rail as early HD11. Maybe early D5 segments would be close? I know they almost fit the later 11s, its just that the sprocket disc on the 11-B is slightly larger than D5. |

| the undercarriage has absolutely been changed at some point i wondered about the possibility of d5 segments i have heard that they even made a conversion "ring" i wonder what it consisted of? if anyone has a part number for the cat part i would really appreciate it |

if its still allis spec track with 7g segment sprockets you can get new sprocket ring from Henderson Mfg. in Texas ------------- Me -C,U,UC,WC,WD45,190XT,TL-12,145T,HD6G,HD16,HD20 Dad- WD, D17D, D19D, RT100A, 7020, 7080,7580, 2-8550's, 2-S77, HD15 |

I had considered getting 7G-B segmented sprockets for my 7G and trying to adapt CAT segments but that could have been severely expensive. Not any other machine uses the Allis style mounting, would have to make an adaptor ring to install on the Allis hub and not in any way affordable. Would still have to replace the rail rollers too top and bottom and align for Cat rails. |

| Cat makes a weld on ring to take D5 segments as that was the fix for older D6 when they discounted the old D6 rail.I cannot say for sure but thinking the old was 6.5 inch pitch and the D5 is 6.91 inch. But the ring diameter is more important than track pitch. |

That is correct for the rails. I did a little research nd could not come up with the old kit anywhere. With a fairly worn Allis 7.0 sprocket can handle the 6.91 Cat rails as the bushing IS smaller and will allow some slop, Rollers on the other hand will not work so well. |

Lee....the picture is helpful...thanks...looks to me like late model 11B series or E 10000 SER. # and up undercarriage...looking at the carrier rollers and sprocket indicates that...would like to see a picture of the pad bolt pattern..would also help...maybe I can post a picture tomorrow to explain that. Should be able to find those segments out there used somewhere....looks like the rails are wearing down too. If so you shouldn't have to start worrying about trying to convert anything unnecessarily. |

I welded them D5 sprocket rings onto my D6 spokes after cutting off old sprocket teeth - Now that is a real experience in getting all the heats right and getting the welds in the proper order to prevent stress cracking welds . Would be welding one spoke and then hear the "TING" as the weld on opposite side would crack - grind out weld - reheat ring tack weld areas - reheat and try to weld until the next sound of a stressed weld - then start over again. ------------- Faith isn't a jump in the dark. It looks like an early HD11 with a later undercarriage. My measurements indicate that the later rollers and idlers would fit the old swingframe..the newer sprocket would fit the old shaft..so it should not be a problem to have all that stuff on there. Defiantly not 7G stuff. I believe the 7G sprockets would be a smaller diameter and yes would only apply to the earlier 9/11 rails. So I am assuming your pad bolts look like this....with one set being a little wider than the other  That would also indicate that these are the later model rails that would go with that undercarriage. The earlier rails...the one that came with that tractor originally..would look like this...not being one set wider.  So that being said....can't quite tell from your picture....guessing it should be the later rails too. Good rails are becoming harder to find...but there still out there...as are sprocket segments. The Henderson people may have a weld on sprocket rim for that size too. The 11EP and Es used weld ons before AC went to segments. Would be a crime to cut of the segment holes...but if you couldn't find segments...would be better than trying to convert to Cat. |

FA 10 tracks are 6.93 pitch. I've no idea if the other dimensions are similar or if they are available if close. They do have the staggered grouser bolt pattern. |
