I have a F3 and I've tried to get the corn head to slow down a lil bit and it won't. I have the veriable speed pulley. It hooks up to the reel speed hydraulic line. The valve works you can hear the engine labor a little bit. I have no hydraulic flow to that line ? Is there maybe something stuck in the valve ? Thank you !

The only time that oil is pressurized in the hose is when you are trying to speed it up. The spring loaded canister on the threasher countershaft is what pushes the sheaves to allow the oil to return to the tank when you are trying to slow it down. Could be sticking sheaves or maybe a bad coupler where the hose hooks up. Also could be electrical.

I don't think it's electrical. You can hear it working. The hose has a male end on it. I can push the little tit down and no oil comes out. Even when I press the electric over hydraulic switch. It very well might be froze up too. Cause the pulley won't move either way.

You could unscrew the female coupler end off of the pulley and then run the machine. It should slow down then. A small amount of oil will be lost doing this. If it won't slow down, then the sheaves are sticking.

Are you sure it is speed up? Pulley at bottom should be spree apart if it is speed up.       MACK
