Got a WD45. changed it over to 12 volt, electronic ignition, and rebuilt the carburetor, and got it running. Tractor seems to be using a lot of fuel and burning really hot. At night the muffler and exhaust manifold will be glowing red hot, and it is heating up the hood and bubbling the paint? anyone else had an issue with this? any help would be appreciated.

Timing or exhaust valves not closing, or exhaust restriction.  Most likely timing since you were in there with the conversion.

Late timing for sure. Take the the inspection plate off under clutch. Get a timing light out and time it for the "F" mark. So with the engine wide open the F has to be straight down.
A bit of a guessing game as there is not a second reference to go by. Straight down to the best of your ability. That "F" is 30 degrees. F for fire. There is another reference mark just a line if I remember correctly - that is zero. Hope that helps.
