I always wanted to visit here .....
As luck would have it, I drove by today with a 1963 VW 'Magic Bus'
I am transporting to Nashville, TN from California
Similar to what Ray drove in the movie!

Friendly people - good food - reasonable lodging
I am very lucky to be able to travel this country

| I grew up about 25 miles from there. My older brothers and sisters went to school with the Lansing family. Every time we would be in Iowa visiting family and go out to the Field we would run in to old friends or more relatives. Sure miss it. |

We were there in '93. If I remember right part of it was on the neighbour's land and a dispute had arisen between the neighbours and the souvenir store was run by the neighbour. Hopefully that has all been resloved. ------------- Nothing is impossible if it is properly financed |

For me it was a very pleasant experience.
The lady at the souvenir stand was helpful & friendly.
The good thing about a high asking price is the likelihood
that it will remain as a tourist attraction.
I will visit again ......

I went there a while back when the kids were younger. If you like baseball and farming you need to visit that place just once. IG ------------- Education doesn't make you smart, it makes you educated. |
