I have been asked to make an offer on this one... Ran when parked, needs rims but he has 2 rims off a gleaner he'll sell me.
I don't know enough about these tractors to make an informed offer... I was thinking around $500...
He did say he'd make me a heck of a deal if I buy the Gleaner too! lol
What do you guys think?

Around here you can buy a running and driving WC for $500. I don't think that Gleaner wheels will fit on a WC.

WC s were a good old tractor. The tin looks good and it should have the square rear end.If you can get it 500 or under you won 't be hurt

If it needs rims and tires, it will cost more than what a WC will sell for just for the tires. Ran when parked doesn't mean much if it has been parked out back for 30 years. If the engine is free you might be able to revive it but that to could lead to $$$$ invested.

He says it was recently moved to this location at a friends farm, and it ran when he put it on the trailer... It is not far from my place in Kansas but I know they have been drenched with rain lately. I kinda have the bug for this one, but I haven't seen it in person yet... That could change my mind, as I know there are others out there...
Still thinking about it...

$500. should let you pick and choose. I offered 300. for my 41 to a neighbor widow 5 minutes before it was going to be loaded for scrap. It had sat for 29 years. With the parts on it and scrap value at the time, I had to make a couple dollars, plus help her out. I don't see 500, at least not running .

Based on this one pic, I'd say 200$ max, unless you hear it run. "ran when parked" means nothing, they ALL ran when parked. WC's are everywhere, and with bad rims, you are looking at some $ just to get it rolling. Unless you're looking for a project, I'd pass. 500$ is way to high in my opinion. Good luck!

My 35WC was free. I will have 3 times the market value into it before it is done(not counting my labor). The only reason I'm doing it is it belong to my SIL's Grandpa and was his first tractor and one of the first in this area with rubber tires.

A clean restored styled WC 47-48 hardly brought 600 at Doc's sale last fall.Still kicking myself for not bidding. If I only had a shed big enough to hold all the stuff I want.No hyds.or hand clutch limits demand.200 is all I would offer and like Bob said hope they turn it down.
