Has anyone installed B finals on a CA to lose weight and make narrower? Just wondering if the final gears are the same ratio or how much faster or slower it goes and was hoping on a weight difference if anyone's done it thanks in advance.

No weight savings being the B finals aren't set up to adapt light steel wheels.  Save weight by bolting on D10/ A Farmall Steel wheels with plain rims .to CA final drives.

I'm running farmall centers now, I know Bs have cast centers I was going to make a 6 bolt hub to put on. I was also looking into changing the bull gears and then I think the hub from a CA may go in a b final but not real sure until I tear either apart. I know a B doesn't have a hand clutch in the axle and it's more than a foot narrower. They are also about 600lbs lighter than CAs and the rearend is really the only difference I can tell just trying to get down around 2000 empty

A B made after SN 18054 should have the same hub as a C.  According to the parts book anyway.

B flanged Axle part number 212806
C flanged Axle part number 210220
Different part numbers don't interchange according to my parts book anyway

There is one more if you use the first B axle stub with the splined 5 stud adapter hub,

Maybe I should have specified, they use the same center for the hub.  Looked that up 30 seconds before I had to leave for work and didn't get to research it in depth.

Ratios are different.  Things will bolt up if you make provisions to change the fender mounting rails.  However the one that said use D10 finals, that will not work. B,C & CA have out board band brakes, whereas the D10/12 have inboard shoes and the bolt pattern is different.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY
