Our L3 seems to be losing the gap between the bottom of the bin and the unload auger.  Like the bin is sagging.  What would be causing this?

The elbow/swivel is sagging. Pretty normal as they get older. Look at a much newer rotary combine and see the brace the have installed from the frame upwards to the elbow to support it.

Excellent!  Thanks for the guidance.  Every completely remove the bin to redo the floor sheet?

Nope. Have a piece rolled into the correct shape and install it in chassis.

May Wes sells a bin floor poly sheet with the side brackets. I installed one in our M3 as the bent bin auger wore the floor away. Took a couple of hours to install.

I know a guy who replaced the entire floor sheet, and it was somewhat labor intensive, but I imagine not nearly as bad as other colors. mostly the clean grain elevator disassembly was the major part.

Gleaner: the properly engineered and built combine.

If you need parts for your Gleaner, we are parting out A's through L2's, so we may be able to help.

That's spot on! Imagine doing it in a Deere --00 or --20 series combine! 5 auger troughs in a 7700 and I think 2 in a 7720.
I'll stick with Gleaner! Big smile

Removed bin as part of combine rebuild. Pretty big job but can be done. Put a new stainless steel floor in on the outside (no ridge this way to catch seeds) of the bin bottom up each side (front and rear) about 2 ft. Had supplier pre-drill the stainless for the rivets. I figure it will be there long after the combine is done. Worked out good.
