Hello I recently added a D 14 to my barn, upon getting it I noticed a busted manifold, I got a new one installed it. Tractor ran fine with the old manifold but with new one I had to run it with choke part way on. Ive checked for leaks cant find any, so I took the carb off cleaned it and did a complete rebuild still has the same problem. I feel its a fuel issue now instead of a leak in manifold..Please help me resolve this problem I want to use the little tractor to pull a cultipacker to reseed some pasture this fall... Thanks Rodd

Sounds like it's leaking somewhere. Have you tried spraying around the gaskets while it is running? Did you lay the new manifold against a flat surface and ensure nothing was warped?

remove gas line at carb, grab pail, open up shut off and see how fast the gas flows into pail. there could be a partial blockage IN the tank, the brass filter screen is partially plugged and or the gasline itself has crud on the inside walls. I've had to clean from tank to carb on all 4 of my D-14s. Today's 'gas' varnishes fast and coats/plugs up the fuel system. some crud will break off and ,yeah, plug up the freshly rebuilt carb....arrgh I learned that the hard way, so start at the tank..cleaning everything. One D-14 has green film on the brass screen. Allowed tractor to start but died under load( not enough gas flow).
Brake cleaner does a great job of cleaning the gas line .
always love the double whammy...fix one thing then TWO more crop up....

Jay I have checked flow from tank, seemed like there was plenty to run the tractor, however when I run and drive the tractor it will jump and buck, lol like its running out of fuel. Ill start at tank and make sure sediment bowl and line are clean,, I sure thank you for your thoughts on this tractor
