While putting the adjustable sieves back in the All-Crop 40 today, I ran into a question that I could not find an answer for in the operator's manual. It seems that the engineers at LaPorte saw fit to make it possible to install these sieves at several different angles and distances from each other. The manual for the 40 says nothing about them at all. A check of my All-Crop 60 manual showed that the same feature exists on those machines as well, but the manual gives no guidance as to what conditions they are designed to be used under. Can anyone offer any suggestions about when to set the sieves at an angle or otherwise move them around?

According to my 66 manual, those adjusments are to change the intensity of shake. It says you can move them if you have light chaff or heavy chaff. Says for normal conditions put them in the middle holes.

I saw that adjustment in my 60A manual. Since it was referring to holes to the left and right, I assumed that it was not what I was looking for. The holes in my machine are aligned vertically. Still, I suppose it is possible that they would give a similar effect. Thanks!
