I am planning on making a trip to the show on Sunday, but I have been watching the weather, and it doesn't look good. What are the chances that there will still be tractors and people to see? I have never made it to this show, and I have been looking forward to it for a while, but this might not be my year. Any reports from the show?
This weather is really starting to get on my nerves.

Redline, how far are you coming? The move to the park in Middle Amana is a good one. Lots of big shade trees. Good turnout too. There is LOTS of room to grow, and camping with electricity too. As of about 6pm, the last forecast I heard was possible heavy rain after midnight, but sunny during the daytime. I'll be there in the morning.

I am northeast of Des Moines 35 miles, so it won't be a terrible drive. Is the show grounds pretty obvious when you get to Middle Amana? I would think the orange color would show up from a distance, anyway!
I appreciate the reply, I guess not all hope is lost.

When you get to Little Amana on I-80 take 149 to the north. You will come to a T intersectiion. Turn right and you will go through Homestead where we held several TAC shows. Stay on that highway until you come to the stop sign at Main Amana. Turn left and it will take you into West Amana where the Amana Plant is. Show grounds would be to the right of there. Wish I was just a couple hours away!! Armand

I was there for about two hours today- saw a few ducks, but didn't see David Maddux... or if I did, I didn't know who he was. I did look over his unstyled WC, though!
Nice show, and while the parking area was a little soft for my company truck, I didn't get stuck. Saving grace was that if I did, I'm thinkin' there'd be a tractor around that could pull me out.
The swap-meet tables were well stocked, and everything appeared to be priced appropriately... Next year, I'll bring some money, and mebbie a working-clothes Allis to show....

Thank you. I am just a little confused by the mention of Middle Amana in some descriptions, but by your description, it looks to be south of Watkins. I think you have cleared things up for me. Thanks again.

Dave K, I'm pretty sure that was Dave Maddux that had to get his camper winched out of the mud. Pretty sure I saw MO plates on it. About the only place the ground wasn't soft was the gravel drive...
Armand, the Cedar Rapids airport is pretty close to the show grounds...

Dave K: I was probably too busy keeping the area clear for the wrecker, to winch the motor home out. We loaded early and left around noon. Dave.
