What modifications make a 72 a peanut combine? I've owned a Lilliston bean combines that really are a modified peanut combine. It had 3 cylinders and lots of provisions to get rid of the dirt.

Are you sure it's a 72? Swinford's book talks about a 90 Peanut Special. Not much different other than having some dirt cleanout doors added to it.

john and brian..i checked the allis books i have, and you may be right on the model  #.it has a cleanout door on the left aft side and one on  the right side.it  it appeared to at one time to have an auxilliary engine installed,if so it is missing from the companion flange on the gear box fwd.the cylinder has pegs about 1-2 inches on the bars.it has no tires on it but has rims.they are 18 in.tires.the machine appears to be pretty much complete.it is located in stonewall texas, just down the road from the lbj ranch if you would like pictures email me mailto:at...airplanefarmer@yahoo.com.and - at...airplanefarmer@yahoo.com.and i will send them to you.also there is a model 40 right next to it.couldnt do a lot of looking, the red wasps did not like me
