I have been told 2 ways to make the differential into a positractiin. 1st way is to put all the gears so that they are locked into the gear on the rt wheel hub, 2nd is to switch them from HL-HL-HL-HL and make them LL-HH-LL-HH . I'm not getting into welding the gears so that's out of the question. Has anyone done either one of these and which one works?

Thank you in advance.... Jim

Hi ,I used to be a AC dealer, so what your wanting to do goes against by better judgment. But locking the differential in the gear cluster sounds like the way to go. Its the strongest area to do it.I would drill and pin each pinion gear on both sides (you'll need do this in a drill press using cobalt or carbide bitsss) than after assembly tack weld each bolt head to the housing cover, that way if you (when you ) break something it can easily be disassembled to replace any broken roll pins. This does the least amount of permanent damage and can be returned to normal
configuration, just debur the drill holes in the pinion gears.

P.s drill pinions valley to valley if possible and drill through completely so when(if)you should need to replace roll pins.

Thats my Idea 😎
