I want to thank everyone for their feedback on my last post about the gear shift on my 1951 WD. Now I have another question, what manuals would you all recommend for refurbishing my WD? It is very confusing looking on e-bay. My intentions are to do a complete restore back to the way it came off the assembly line; all input will be appreciated.

Take a look at http://grandpastractor.com/forum/allis-chalmers-tractors" rel="nofollow - http://grandpastractor.com/forum/allis-chalmers-tractors there could be downloadable original manuals there.
On epay, look ONLY for original or print copies of original AC manuals. The I&T manuals are too thin to work for door stops and have too little detail to be useful unless you are a full time tractor mechanic with half a century of experience.

Do yourself a favor, find a factory Manuel. I have purchased reprints and all I have are junk. Pictures are totally black, pages missing or out of order, or completely missing. The Manuel I recieved with my 200 is a factory reprint and it is awful.

Like Gerald says, I usually get original manuals on E-bay for reasonable prices. It will not tell you how to restore it though.

Reasonably readable online. I'm a bit old fashioned and like paper so I'm going to follow Gerald & DSeries' advice and look for one on ebay!

edit: amazon has reproductions by Haynes as well. Fingers crossed!
