This is my son Edward and his Action Track Chair. Our road is uphill from the house so we bought a track chair to get him to the hospital during the winter.
Hw wore out the first track chair so this is the second track chair.
This is the only way Edward gets to enjoy the outdoors. The trach chair cost more than I paid for my HD6G

Place here in MN that started building them a few years back - just for that of being able to get individuals back into things of life without the barriers created by what some call normal activities . The ability to get off the sidewalk and manicured grass and move into the areas most of us take for granted when we are outside

YEEAAHH... I'm listening...Darrel has the engineering already done for me....probably be a little heavier than Edwards' current model...but it would have steel street pad grousers..snow proof and all. Don't know bout building one for Shameless though....he's gettin real close to being a "slaker" Apparently there's a camera shortage in Nebraska?

I was going to build a track chair. I found that the track assemblies were available from China. Track assemblies are available having bolt patterns for direct mounting on 4WD pickups and tractors. I also found a person who made track chairs from excavator chain.
The military services provide track chairs for our service persons that can no longer get around. They have track chair competitions at a military base in the south. I forgot the name of the base.
We should be thankfull that we can walk even though it gets difficult as we get older. We should also be aware that others can not walk.

I think i'm headed that direction. some days I can't walk, and the feet hurt so bad I wish someone would cut them off! I scraped the dead skin off my one foot a couple days ago, and thought if I could find my chain saw, they would have been GONE! soaking them in Epsom salts has toned some of the pain down. some days when I soak the feet, I can't feel how hot/cold the water is. then some days they swell up so big they split open. I have to keep buying shoes, cuz they keep soaking up fluids ruining them. man...this sucks

My wife uses Listerine to soak her feet in to help the dry skin.

I try'd one out years ago and thought it was great then they come out with one that also stands you up like a standing frame and I try'd that one too and was also good. When I get the money I would like to buy that one. When I told my daughter I wanted to get one she started one of those go fund Facebook things to help get one.
