spending a few days vacation in Arizona and was wondering if anyone knows of dozer junk yards or just equipment laying around in  the Sedona/Phoenix/Tuscan area. will be traveling between all in the next few days. found a few pieces in Jerome Az at the ghost town gold mine. Beautiful specimen hd5b puller dozer.

There is a gentleman south of Phoenix that has a huge collection of Allis Chalmers equipment. I know he has an HD31 and HD41.

When you're in the Tucson area you might want to check out a location that's known as Bio Sphere 2. If I remember correctly we (Harvey Engine Plant) shipped a V12 gen set out to them for emergency power back up. Who knows it might be still out there in the desert somewhere. We only built 50 or so V12's.

You'll love AZ, especially the evenings, after the sun goes down.

But remember, drink lots of water, and always have a few spare bottles with you.

That 110'+ temp. can dehydrate you in no time, and the evening lows are still 90'+.

Some POI are Grand Canyon, Goldfield (Ghost town),Tortilla Flats, Kartchner Caverns, Tombstone, Bisbee etc. etc.
