A friend is restoring a 38 B and finds that the axle seals are a felt/rope type seal. Does anyone know of a replacement for these. Thanks for any help we can get. Cal in Ct.

the replacement seals will be rubber. you can get them from AGCO, vendors on this site or buy from a bearing warehouse... i can look up the number.

Rear axle bull gear shaft

Inner brg tapper roller 14138A (brg)-14276 (race)

Outer brg TIMKIN tapper roller 368 (brg) -- 362 (race)

Outer seal 2.500-3.548 .500 lip seal CR 25065 NAT415001

SSteve I may not have been clear on the axle seals, the 38 has a round cast area for the seal to sit in, not just a straight cut machined area like most Bs. should he try to find a later casting. Cal in Ct.
