I pulled again at the Woodstock VA fairgrounds and got to meet Brett Phillips! Bring that C the next time
They have a gravel track there and I was the first puller in the 2500 3 mph class. I weighed in at 2580 (100 more than Thursday for some reason) and I had to drop a wheel weight to be under 2500.
1st gear and I spun the left side the whole time but I beat the Oliver 60 Row Crop in my class by 43'. Was only 2 of us so I had a 50/50 chance at winning!
And to the track crew who said a B would never pull that sled, HA!
Was a fun time, but blistering hot.

When I run onto a scales that weighed me heavy when I knew it wasn't I would take the back to my trailer and wait a little while and weigh it again without removing weight. If they got the same weight the second time I would remove some weight. I have removed a 100 pound wheel weight and went back and was 100 pounds under weight. Put the 100 pound weight back on weighed again and made weight. I never took having my tractors under weight lightly. Most of the time from scale to scale there would only be a coupla pounds difference.

The "Drawbar Cam" perspective is neat. It really shows how much noise the final drives generate on a B. I'm sure that the finals on my C would be even noisier. I need to find another standard weight rear wheel center for my C so I can join you in that weight class. Then there will be a 33-1/3% chance of getting a first place trophy...

Those cast wheel weights are heavy and over the years have loosened the front end a little!
