I finaly got my 7040 running yesterday had the injector pump rebuilt there is a nasty blacksmith in the engine. The guy I bought it from said it had a small knock but any knock is never good so I guess I got more work. On the plus side the power shift seems to work real nice. But today I have to take the hyd pump off of a 7050 and put seals in it. I guess I better get busy.

I feel for you, I always hate fixing one thing to find another, in your case possibly larger problem

Is there any way you can post a video of the sound.

A knock can be anything from a bad/worn out injector, to major mechanical failure.

Did you have the injectors rebuilt with you pump?
