How much do you think I will have to spend to buy a usable G? Are cultivators hard to find for them? I hear they work real well in the garden for cultivating. They are neat too. Would be a good addition to my collection.
I have a wd and a C for sale. A wd to part out also. Hopefully I can get them all sold and have enough cash to buy a G. I think it is my best bet.

| Thats about what I am seeing. I would like to find one cheaper if possible. I got to move some of these other tractors out of here. It is neat seeing all that orange as I come down the road though! |

Prices in New England for running G's are considerably higher than those TN prices! I'm not sure what you'd have to do to a G to break the frame - never heard that this was a problem.....one clue is that we don't read about that happening, different from the CA or D series popping out of 3rd gear which we hear about a lot. ------------- WC, CA, D14, WD45 |

Dave, the guy at work is a no it all. I really don't take a lot he has to say very seriously. I told him I never heard of that happening and he argues with me saying it happens all the time...
Figured it doesn't hurt to ask.

You know, I sold the G for the life of the unit 48 - 55 and we never repeat never had a problem with the frame breaking. Yeah we thought hard when we were pushing a plow in heavy duty sod but in my lifetime I have never heard of a G frame breaking or bending.
By the way in our neighborhood - Maryland - the G brings $ 3,000 and up. In fact some are still being used. They cannot find anything better to do the job.

I stopped and talked to a farmer down the road. His Dad bought two G's new. He said ya can't beat them, and they are not for sale!
I had a nice talk with him. They have mostly all Allis. He said they were five miles down the road from the local dealer. When they needed a tractor, they drove down, bought it and brought it home. His Dad most of loved them. They have three or four B/C/CA's, two G's, A D12, d14, d15, d17 and a D19. Some WD's.... Every time I go by there, I am craning my neck to see what else he has sitting around. I am going to save up some cash and keep looking.

One did sell at auction in Hudsonville within the last couple months, if I remember right it was just over $4000 and had several attachments.

| The little G's pop a drive axle once in a while, but never heard of a broken or bent frame. I've got 9 of them around here and will prolly start thinnin the herd at some point, just not yet. A G with good hand lift cultivators should bring $3K pretty easy. |

All I want it for is to cultivate my small garden and to add to my little allis collection. I think hand lift would be OK. Less to break Lol...
