Looking for some input; I have a 220 on hold from a gent and I need to search for some parts before I decide to get it. I mostly have restored the B's C's WC's and several D series tractors. None of the 200's have graced my shop yet! Wondering if any of the XT, 200 or 210 parts will be interchangeable? The tractor I'm looking at is missing the steering wheel, shaft and flow divider (or whatever the part name is). Someone robbed the steering assembly from it. The transmission is stuck between gears but the engine runs fine. That's were the guy shut it off out in the field a few years ago and never repaired it. He told me the trans had done this to him before. Any help is appreciated

A Two-Ten will have 98% the same parts as a Two-Twenty.

Trans was probably ran low on oil, and galled one of the gears to the main shaft.

I checked the rear end fluid level when I looked at it--- it has oil. he told me it has done it before. I'm guessing the shifting fork is worn?

The description "stuck between two gears" kinda scares me. What does that mean exactly???

I've had to repair other transmissions before when this has happened. The shifting fork gets bent or worn. One gear doesn't quite get released from the driven gear and the next gear selection gets shifted onto the same driven gear and locks up the trans. Usually all that is required is to remove the top cover and repair/replace the shifting fork or the linkage that is causing the issue. you never know until you get it opened up, it could be broken gears, who knows?

Wish that 220 was in Va, I would have to check it out. I hope he gives you a good price so you can save it. They are a beast for the year. Ed can tell you all about them. I will tell you this, a big tractor is much harder to restore than the smaller ones, time consuming. My 190XT is taking me forever, of course finding the time to work on it is the main problem. If you decide against it, pm me to its location and price please.
