| What causes the loud whine/groan in intermediate 3rd and 4th gear? Its always been this way even after full tranny service? Just a bad design flaw? I've added sound proof and absorbing materials in the cab, but only helped slightly. |

| also while talking about 6080 gears, when working with my 6080 in most cases it seams like intermediate 4th is to slow and hi 1st is to fast, does anyone else have this problem ? |

We got 2 6080's both 8000 plus hours one whines much worse than the other. Doubt theirs a connection but higher SN tractor is better. ------------- 8030 and 8050MFWD, 7580, 3 6080's, 160, 7060, 175, heirloom D17, Deere 8760 |

My FW has 20 speeds and I use exactly 2 plus only one of the reverses. Don't care if a tractor has 3 gears or 24 if the gears you got are spaced right. ------------- 8030 and 8050MFWD, 7580, 3 6080's, 160, 7060, 175, heirloom D17, Deere 8760 |
