I think I may know the answer but is there any difference in the camshaft between the M Z and V code G226 engines?

Maybe. Maybe not. The 175 tractor engine is the only engine that has a different camshaft grind. The "V" engine code means 8.2 or 8.25 to 1 compression, which could mean an LPGas engine in a D-17.

Ok so if on the side of the block it has 17- xxxx V for the serial number it has the grind of a standard D17 correct?

That would be my guess. That is a D-17 LPGas engine, not a 175 engine.

That is what I was thinking but I wanted to check. Thanks for your help
