          | I am in need of a rear mounted hydraulic pump for a 1940s HD7W crawler with Baker blade, the pump is a Baker model BMA-330 made by Hydreco. A good used or parts unit would work, the body on the one I have froze last winter and has cracked. Please email to jeickhof@nteequip.com Thanks!! |

          | I have an HD7 and get quite a bit of work out of it. But those things are getting to be 70 years old. I think you would be better off finding a new pump and putting it on the front of the crankshaft. A used pump will be the same age as yours. My pump got water in it and froze but that has been almost 30 years ago. A new generic pump would give lots of years of service. |

          | Hi, Thanks for the reply, I beleive the front mounted pump may work, as long as the drive will bolt to the 3-71 detroit engine, I can fabricate the necessary pump mounts unless what you have will work, I have no way to attach fotos, please email pictures of what you hyave and I will compare with the tractor I have, Thanks!! |

          | Seems a rear mount pump would be like older PTO as when clutch is disengaged the pump would stop . Front pump would seem to be best idea. All the HD5 machines used the front mount to have live hyd and used coupler to front engine pulley to drive Hydreco pump. Early units used a Vickers pump.
