| I think that the center round thingy with the wing nut is a plate of some kink. Got to soak it to get the rusted wing nut off to disassemble. This post has been viewed 199 times but only your reply. Must be a rare piece of equipment i have here! |

| Some disassembly help. Using an OXY-Acetylene torch, light only the acetylene side and blacken only the area that you're going to heat up (around the screw). Next finish lighting the torch and adjust to an acetylene rich mixture. A rosebud tip works best. Heat the desired area until the black changes to yellow and then almost disappears. Hold a candle against the screw and immediate area to get wax down in the threads. Let cool. The screw may back out now with normal torque. If screw offers too much resistance, repeat heating process. The heat breaks the bond between the steel screw and aluminum. The wax helps prevent the aluminum threads from coming out with the screw.
