| We recently purchased a 7580. We were told this tractor had been used at Loretta Lynn's ranch at one time. Does anyone know how we could find this out for certain? |

| Probably no way of knowing for sure, back in the day they had a sizable farming operation and had some type of equipment arrangement with AC. As a side story back in the 70's my Father purchased a demo 6r30 black cornhead that supposedly came from the Loretta Lynn Ranch. No documentation whatsoever, just happy to find what he was looking for as price was reduced somewhat and still full warranty. , Mike |

| You might try to get ahold of someone at Loretta Lynn's ranch hurricane mills Tennessee with the age of loretta now I doubt she would know I think most of the farmland has been sold off several years ago they had an auction and sold off the majority of the equipment I think most of it was Deurtz not sure of that spelling |

| Loretta's Ranch was a testing grounds for AC's new equipment. they did keep some equipment there longer than others. but as AC progressed, new equipment showed up for testing in real life! it was also a way for Loretta to get her farm/ranch worked for nothing, and still get all of the crop! |

| also....when the replaced equipment was taken away, it was checked and studied for wear, and those areas re-enforced for a better machine. then some of the equipment was used for parts, some sold off as used equipment, and some scraped. about all Lorretta was involved with was she watched the equipment working, and sometimes visited with the AC people if she had time! sometimes she had her house help take cold lemonade out to them! |

The Loretta Lynn and AC connection always fascinated me. Back in the late 60s and early 70s when my grandpa and his brother had their Allis dealership, my uncle got to make quite a few trips down there and even remembers sitting on the patio with Mooney drinking beer and even eating lunch in their kitchen. One of my favorite pieces of Allis advertising is a "Allis Chalmers Presents Loretta Lynn" record I got for Christmas a few years ago ------------- 2001 Gleaner R42, 1978 7060, 1977 7000, 1966 190 XT, 1966 D-17 Series IV and 1952 WD and more keep my farm running! |

That is 2 from her ranch to come to the Greenville,Eaton Area. Stienkes in Eaton have a 8550 that came from there. Contact them,they might be able to help you. I use to live down from you about 15 yrs ago. Your dad farmed the ground across the road with the woods going around it. Do you farm that at all or do Gowers still do it for you? I would watch you all the time silage with your wd & 706 International. I lived right across the road in the House was green now it is tan with the private fence. I had a AGCO 915 Garden tractor ,& latter my wd with allis #2 series 2 plow before I sold it. Tractor went to Indiania latter to New Madison area. Loved your equipment , Do you still have the 7020? |

I do not have any records, but I can only remember one maroon 7580, it went to Cane equipment in La. and one black 7580 being over there. That one did go north, but have no memory as to where. I do know that that per phone calls that there are claims of about 2 times the number of units 'that were on the Dude Ranch' than actually were. Contrary to popular belief there we few units that were 'test units' every put there. some had components like seats , lights , alternators and tires that were evaluated , most pulled off before being resold.

| The deal with Loretta started about 1977 and lasted through part of Duetz- allis The 8000 tractors some 1001 serial numbers were there and 4w305-1001 was there the last time I was there, which would have been summer of 83. |
