depending on how things look after I sell my last 3500 bushels of beans, I may be looking for a newer tractor. problem is, im not sure what I want!

currently doing about 200 acres of row crops and mainly using the good old 190 XT, which will at least continue to spray and plant corn if I buy a newer one. 4520 deere does most of the heavy work. also have a few bred cows so doing some cow-calf stuff too. hoping to expand both here soon.

current implements are a 12 row deere 7000, 20' Tye 2020 no till drill, 30' Allis 1300 field cultivator, Demco sprayer with 40' booms and 1000 gallon tank, 13 shank deere chisel plow. usually rent a 11 shank 28% applicator with a 1000 gallon tank as well.

was thinking of a 7020, but it may be too light for some of the stuff I want to do, 7045 would probably be decent as well. 7060 would almost be pushing too big. maybe look at a 8000 series? I want 540/1000 pto too. want something pretty nimble too.

have thought some about 4430s and 4440s as well since I've spent quite a few hours in a 1976 4430 at work, but would like to stay orange as the price is much more reasonable. anyone have suggestions or experiences?

8050 or 8030 power shift....hands down.....you would not regret owning an 80xx.
The 8050's are priced about the same as most 8030's I see.

You can't go wrong with a 7045 but a 8000 series is nice if you want FWD.

iv spent most of my tractor operating life in a 4430 lol we had 3 that we ran daily for years. but just have 2 now a 76 with a 725 loader ,77.. i like the 404 vs the 466 in the 4440.. the 404 burns less fuel

and i love the sound gaurd cab also, and the quad range and ps

out of all the hours we have put on them one has had a started put on and that was cause i just wanted the gear reduction starter.

the other was a hyd hose. and our old one that we sold was a 75 it had a hose to bust thats under the hood.

thats all we have ever done to any of them

saw that one a few days ago, sure is a sharp looking tractor! would fit in with my L2 and F-350 as well with them both being a '82 as well!
