Is it just tractors, or are there other things like combines, cotton pickers/strippers, and other implements?
How many pages is it?

The book, Better By Design, Series II is exclusively about farm tractors. There are 318 pages in the book, glossy pages and hard cover. Most of the ads are in full color, unless the original ad was black and white. The book is in vertical format, 8.5 by 11 inches. Some tractor model ads were very scarce. As an example I was only able to find 1 ad for the Model A tractor. Also, 8000 series ads, near the end of this great company are just a few. There are also some tractor photos with a few really unique views. Old ads are faded, and yellowed or discolored. Old newspaper ads generally have ink bleed, so all of the text had to be redone, with the font as near to the original style as possible. If the Good Lord is willing, and the crick don't rise there will be a Series III book sometime next year. This will be the 3rd and last book and will be anything I can find about most of the many products that were produced by A-C, not confined to advertisements. I try not to duplicate anything that appeared in the previous book.

The first book was titled, Allis-Chalmers Better By Design. It is a "coffee table" book, full of stories about my life with Allis-Chalmers tractors and equipment, ads, historical information, and lots of photos. Also stories about when I worked for the Des Moines Branch of A-c and working in A-C dealershipsThis is not a book that is just full of historical facts, because that information has already been published by several others. I have only a FEW copies of the first book left. It is in horizontal format, 8.5 by 11 inches, hard cover, shiny paper and in full color when possible. The first book is much larger than the second book. Price (includes packaging and postage) is $70.00. My mailing address is: Dean L. Byerly, 1505 271st Avenue, Fort Atkinson, IA 52144
