Well, my 1939 B sat all winter in the garage and started up today without a hitch.  As I rolled it out for the first ride of the year, I noticed a clunk and a ticking sound in the left rear.  It doesn't happen on each revolution, but does happen with a rhythm and changes with speed.

Being a city boy with a tractor (less than a year), I've not a clue as to what it could be.  Any ideas would be appreciated.  THANKS!

The B has splines and a tightening nut on each rear wheel hub.  I would suggest that you tighten the left rear nut.  Hopefully that will do the job.
Take good care of my favorate.
Good Luck!

put a floor jack under the drawbar on that side and raise the rear wheel 2 inches. rock and roll back and forth and look as Bill said. wheel clamps or center nut is a good bet.. brakes still work?

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Thanks Bill and Steve - will do as suggested and get back to you.   And yes, brakes on both sides work just fine.

We had a clunking noise coming from the right rear of our wd.  It ended up that one of the wheel weights came loose.  Not sure if your B has rear wheel weights but it's atleast a thought.  Good luck.

Thanks StewartMD - I do have wheel weights so I'll indeed check that out.  Appreciate the idea.
