We just bought 7.5 acres of land, so that justified buying our tractor! It was so over grown that when I first walked it, I couldn't find the well tank, and even walked by a 25' camper without seeing it. I have been clearing, manually pulling up the trees up to 4", and using the tractor to pull stumps of the bigger ones. I will need to run some water, air, & power to different places, so I started making some implements. Instead of each being a three pt. hitch, I opted to make them fit the hitch receiver mounted on the draw bar. I haven't taken any pics yet, but will post after I get everything painted.
So far I made 3 sizes of tree pullers, a T-post puller, a harrow drag (copied from the Cabela's). For trenching I made a single tine ripper, and then a trencher that should open up to 16" deep x 8" wide, and tonight I will work on something to back fill with. They may not be the best designs, I've worked with what was available out of the scrap pile, but so far haven't cost me anything but time and paint (orange) of course! Wink

Making your own is GREAT! First one I made was a convertable 'snap coupler' carryall. Hooks up like a snap couple plow or blade but will carry forklift forks. Perfect for moving anything on skids. won't go high but it works. Dead center is a 2" receiver that allows me to use small ball, 2" ball, big ball or empty 'coupler'. Obviously the balls allow pulling any trailer and the empty one works as a 'drawbar'.Works better in fact as it's a whole lot lighter. ANYTHING you can build to make life easier is worthwhile !
