What do you think a stinger is maybe a subsoiler or something like that.

people have refered to a bale spike as a stinger, but who knows-could be anything

Up here in Ia, a bale spear, spike, etc, could also be called a "bale stabber". I'm thinking a CA would not do well moving large round bales.
