Hey Folks,

I'm new to the forum and have done a lot of 'googling' on the subject but I can not find what I am looking for.

I have a 1940 Model B that I am restoring for my grandfather and in the process of rebuilding the engine have discovered that the rocker shaft and rockers are toast. Does anyone make a reproduction or aftermarket alternative to these assemblies? Am I stuck gambling with used EBAY parts?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No aftermarket made. But there are plenty of trusted vendors here on the forum that will sell you the parts and stand behind them.

Used USEABLE rocker arm assemblies are quite plentiful. Post a Wanted in the classified section of this forum and see what pops up from individuals with a stash of used engine parts.
I will have a look see myself in my stash of stuff.   Ken

I thought I saw an after market rocker set in the pulling section a while back. I believe they were blue and not terribly expensive.

Plus 1 on what Jim D said. He and the other vendors on this Forum stand behind their parts. I have never had a problem with anything I bought from him. And welcome to the Forum, you will be able to get a lot good information ans assistance on here.

I turned a new rocker arm shaft for my MF-135 on my metal lathe and cut 7/16 threads in the ends to plug them with steel set screws instead of corks that will eventually rot and wreck the rocker arms. Then I had a machine shop grind to the final diameter with a better finish than the turning. The bushings in the rocker arms were steel backed and badly worn from running dry. I couldn't buy them so I bought solid bronze and bored to fit and pressed them in. At the time I did that Central Tractor offered rebuilt rocker arms and shaft.
