          | I have a friend that pulls two WCs.  One has 14.9x24 tires and he has widened the rims to 13 1/2 inches.  I think this tire says to mount on a 13 inch rim and you can get by on a 12 inch rim.  The 14.9 tires balloon some on 12 inch rims and seem to flatten more on the wider rims.  My question is will the tractor pull better with 12 inch rims or the 13 1/2 inch rims with this tire?

          | I have thought that optimum pull comes from matching tread width to rim width.  In other words, a 14.9 tire with 13 inch tread width should be mounted on a 13 inch rim.  A 13.6 tire has a 12 inch tread and should be mounted on a 12 inch rim.  Do you get more traction by mounting on a wider rim?

          | Given a choice, wider is better. |

          | like dr. ac said wider the better' you may haft to air them up a little more to push the center out but it works good' im' running 15.5X38s on 18' w' rim' sure takes a hold of the motor' tells you it's working |
