My brother bought an 1800 Series A (265 cid) gas tractor with a bad crankshaft. What other Waukesha engines use the same crank, if any? This one is 60 thousandths out of round on the rods. Otherwise he is looking for a good engine out or a gas 1750 (283 cid) or 1850 Waukesha (310 cid). Close to SE Minnesota if possible. Prefer the 283.

Lonn, I think that Crank was unique to the 1800A series. Here is some more info;

Best bet is the 1750 or 1800 B/C or 1850. All should be a bolt-in operation. Even a diesel version of those, except the 1850 Diesel that had the Perkins engine.

It's really too nice to scrap but that is what he's leaning towards doing right now. From what I was reading an engine from a 1750 would be about right for this tractor. .......

You know, I've got a friend who is heavy into Olivers. I don't know why I didn't think of giving him a call. I'll see him in a couple weeks at his threshing/tractor show.
