          | OK guys here it is.  finished just in time to head to my first pull pull with the UC.  Dont have any pics or video of pulling but i do have some after unloading at home.  This was literally a barely made deal, made the brackets, wheelie bars and hitch mods thurs, friday and pull was on Saturday.  Only had it running just 2 hours before pull and it was an hour drive!
anyway here some pics and a walk around video.  weighed 5150 with me on it.  still have PTO installed and stock hitch,  pretty sure i can make 5000 with removal of pto and some refinements.  I did not win anything but i will say, the tractor hooked good and pulled till  it nearly stalled.   having installed the carb and timed it by ear an hour before going,  I felt like it went very well.  I do have a suction side leak on the manifold and i know it was hurting me, you can hear it in the video.  let me know what you think,  suggestions.

          | Will also mention,  the gearing is just about perfect for NATPA div 2 @ 3 mph.  i had to back out of it just a bit in 1st while in the cones as i was blowing the speed horn, then when it started to slip just a touch i could open her up.  still stock RPM.  16.9x34  and the damn steering shaft seal started leaking as soon as i started the test drive, and doesnt steer well even when the cavity is full LOL.

          | That's one cool looking puller. The sound of that 318 being lugged is great. I like the wheels, did you fan them yourself? My 37 U has 18.4 x 28, on a good track I just run out of power in 1st. It is stock and the engine was put together from parts of 3 motors, good enough for me. As for steering, could you imagine what it was like with an old mid-mount 4 row cultivator? My UC is pretty hard to steer unless its in motion. Leon B

          | it does sound mean under load. and i was surprised how snappy the governor was.
yes i modified those wheels to fit the UC.  I made a previous post that showed how i made them.  ever since i drove your UC I had to have one, and I concur that you dont steer unless its moving part LOL.
I need to call the previous owner and talk to him, he may not be alive yet, but i dont think this tractor has run in many years.  but it fired right up and no smoke!

          | I love the UC's. You sit in the middle and look straight over the center of the hood. What is the alt. off of? What is the serial number? And what would fenders from a 180-200 look like on it? Thanks for the video.

          | looking to hit 3-4 more pulls this year with the club I am in.  possiblly another that is remotely close.  I had lots of questions and comments on the tractor as there just arnt any U or UC's in this area.  Several allis guys in the club commented on it .  I love the AC tractors but there is a plethora of wc/wd in the club and i wanted to pick on my buddy who pulls an M Farmall and G JD starting at 5-5500.   I need to have some one video me pulling.  We have our big pull in Abilene we put on in a couple weeks should have something from there to show
these would be NAPTA rules with my semi local club, I could barely afford to build the tractor much less travel the NATPA circuit with the big boys.

          | I Would like to mention a few site sponsors here that were a help in getting this thing up to where its at. Norm Meinert for reproducing the seals for the final drives and other parts for the U and UC. Rick corder for relining my brakes that were completely soaked with oil and building me a custom drive disk with my rebuilt pressure plate. Steve @ B&B for supplying a lightweight alternator and advice on my wiring as well as going through my carb and rebuilding my starter which probably now has more torque than my actual motor LOL.
 Thanks again guys.

          | Yes that steering on the UC is a bear unless you are moving thats why I put power steering on ours. I hit a dead furrow and tore the steering wheel out of my hands I thought I broke my thumb that why I put it on.I have dynoed our UC its around 55 hp i'm sure with the right pistons and a cam grind it would turn some real power I used to pull it alot always spun out never killed the engine even with the 18.4x28s.
