just looking for suggestions, above 1/2 throttle the 616 starts missing.  I've replaced the fuel filter, fuel lines, fuel pump (bypassed the mechanical and installed an electric), new carb I had alrady, new plugs, new plug wires.  I need to run a volt test on the coil just to make sure 12v in 12v out.  Only thing left to do is adjust timing and potentially replace the ignition box components.  Any thoughts?  Motor is not running rich.

Thanks
David

I would spray Seafoam in it while it is running first. Might be carb adjustment, might be a little carbon buildup. If not, the points will probably be the culprit. Be safe and don't burn your hands. Tracy

Check for a bad spark plug.  I put new ones in my 620 a few years ago and it would do what you describe at higher throttle.  No problem at low throttle.  Turns out one of the new plugs was bad.  Replaced it and has run perfect since.

What kind?  Autolites are the ones that went bad in mine.  I switched to NGK.  I could tell the plug was no good because it was not as hot as the other one after running the engine.

That has been my only experience.  Good luck in tracking down the problem.
