Can you drain the trans oil on a 6080 without losing all the hyd. compartment oil? Or do they all share the same stuff;

Hydraulic oil and rear end oil are the same and checked by dipstick on top side of PTO housing.  The transmission has a separate oil/compartment, level check is a plug on the side of the transmission under the platform.

Ten years ago it corst about 7K to fix the trans after not refilling it because "a guy" changed the rear end oil and didn't know about the second check point......Make absolutely sure they are both full!!!!!

I would change the tranny oil while you are at it.  When I did mine, the old oil looked green!
