I almost have it going!! The no spark thing did in fact turn out to be as simple as a wire disconnected. Through all the screwing around I flooded the engine a little and the battery is low and the starter is acting funny but it did fire!!!!! I'm lettin' it charge a little and going back out now. I'll admit I haven't had it running in probably two years.

I got it going!!!!!! It's the middle of a foggy night but I'm gonna run it around a little. I got an extra exaust on it so it's real quiet. Not that there's anybody to wake it just doesn't feel comfortable to be loud in the night. It's one of those really foggy, warm nights where it's actually getting warmer as it goes on. I got a Stanley LEbar light with a magnet for the front :D but really I can see by the stars. Even without the moon, you'd be surprised how bright the stars are once you get used to them. And I weld and have been welding a lot recently so it's not that I'm only active and night and have adapted lol.

Be careful, I have a storm to the south and west of me now heading East. The birds are all chirping, is that bad?

Hope that worked out OK. Seems that you would be riding around on a lightning rod, with those extra mufflers up there. Would like to hear the difference in the sound versus the tiny pancake muffler that it came with. Watch out for power lines too. LOL!

Yup I got it going. I ran it around for an hour or two. I pulled that little drag with it in a field. I was surprised at what it's 10 horsepower would do. I wouldn't have stayed up so damn late though if I had realized how nice it was gonna be today!! It's 70 and sunny while yesterday was 50 and rainy!

One thing that would have saved me a lot of hastle would be if the G had a crank start. Is there a reason why they don't?

Daniel, they do have a crank start option.
The cover over the back of the motor has a hole at the bottom for a crank.
There is a cast piece that is riveted to the hole to support the crank.
G crank's can be hard to find.
A crank from an Alis B, C, or CA will work. Only difference is they are longer but will fit the G crank hole.
They can be cut down to work better.
