I am new to the wd45..and just got a gas model with aftermarket ps...don;t have a manual yet....i was wondering if there was a place online someone could point me for types of fluids, how much, and where to check em for it.   i already changed oil....replaced fan and ps belts..replaced radiator hoses and new anti-freeze.  just freed up the eccentrics on the spin outs, cleaned em up and re-assembled rims/centers and cleaned out fluid, repaired the one valve stem hole and replaced tubes and got her back on her feet.  now i want to check rest of fluids...there is a small cap and dipstick on left side inside frame rail midway up the tractor that shows low on the dipstick..specifically curious about this one and what fluid it takes

Jeff - you have been busy! That small dipstick is for the hydraulic pump fluid level. Probably can use Hy-Trans or something similar. Check level with the SC arms raised.

I'm in the process of a similar rehab on the '45 I just acquired.....new fan belt, repaired carb, genny and starter, replaced ammeter, new valve cover gasket, new plugs, engine oil and filter. Radiator hoses look fine as does the antifreeze. More to come...waiting on a new temp gauge and bushings for the seat. Great fun!

Dave-
Yep been busy with her, next is points and condensor, plugs, and i see this morning my lower radiator hose has a slight drip...hopefully just tightening the clamp will do it..had the generator rebuilt too. ammeter works but lights and switch are something to be desired.

So hy-trans is what you put in there?  if thats not whats in there now will it do harm to mix?

Jeff, I don't know if you can mix two different oils without issues.....but I bet you can. Alternatively, the hydraulic pump capacity is 6 qts, so you could drain and refill w/o spending a fortune. Tranny/differential/clutch holds 17 qts....that's a little thirstier!
